Recognizing the power of community
After completing an application, one winning entity is chosen to receive a $1,000 cash prize and is then entered to compete with winners from other electric cooperatives for statewide Minnesota Rural Electric Association recognition and an additional $2,000.
Who is eligible? Any civic organization or non-profit (big or small) serving those within our service territory is eligible to compete for the award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the local community.
The application requires a description of the project, program or organization, and the positive impact it brings to the community. Organizations can apply for the award themselves, or community members may apply on behalf of a deserving organization.
