As a member-owned electric cooperative, East Central Energy works hard to keep rates reasonable while still maintaining a safe and reliable distribution system. Any margins ECE receives are invested back into the system or returned to members in the form of capital credits. Questions about rates? Give us a call at 1-800-254-7944 or email [email protected].

What does the cost-of-basic service cover? Every residential account (including seasonal) is charged a cost-of-basic service charge. This is necessary to cover ongoing expenses associated with delivering and maintaining service to each location.
What is a Power Cost Adjustment? A PCA charge may be implemented, when necessary, to recoup wholesale power costs beyond what is included in the current rates. This charge may vary throughout the year. ECE's PCA remains at zero.
