East Central Energy offers options to help reduce the time and costs involved in managing rental property.
The Landlord Preauthorization Agreement allows you to direct us to automatically leave the electric service on between tenants.
- Pay a pre-determined annual fee instead of a service charge each time a service transfer occurs! It also eliminates the $25 service fee previously charged to you each time the account was transferred into your name.
- With your signed agreement, the account will automatically be placed in your name, and you will be responsible for any kilowatt-hours used during the vacancy.
- An annual fee will be charged for this service, based on the number of rental units. This fee will be billed to you each year on the anniversary date of your agreement. The benefit to you is the ability to pay a pre-determined annual fee instead of a service charge each time a service transfer occurs.
- You may discontinue your participation in this program at any time with written notification or by calling us.
Don't forget to check out the Third-Party Notification form. If signed by your tenant(s), we can mail you their notices of disconnect for non-payment. There is no charge for this service.
