Ingredients:
1 lb. bacon
2 8 oz. cans water chestnuts, (whole not sliced)
1 c. ketchup
1 ½ c. granulated sugar
3 T. water
Toothpicks
Preparation Instructions:
Wrap each water chestnut with ½ strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on an ungreased, shallow baking pan. Bake 1 hour at 350°. Drain grease.
Mix ketchup, sugar, and water in a small sauce pan. Simmer over low heat until sugar dissolves, about 10 minutes. Pour over baked water chestnuts. Reduce oven to 300° and bake about 45 minutes longer.
