April 2018 Grants

The Operation Round Up Trust Board met on April 23 and awarded the following grants:
 

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Center Against Sexual & Domestic Abuse Inc., Superior, WI: $2,880 for the purchase of computers to replace outdated ones currently in use by domestic assault victims. 
City of Rush City: $1,500 to help with the purchase of a new dishwasher and stand.
East Central MN Pride, Braham, MN: $755 to help with costs for Pride in the Park, a safe community gathering for people of varying backgrounds. 
Mora Area Fire Department: $2,930 to purchase four breathing apparatus face masks with attached thermal imaging technology for fire attack teams.
One Heartland, Willow River, MN: $564 to fund supplies for the 2018 Spring Day of Service projects to prepare camp for the upcoming summer.
PACC Foundation, Inc., Princeton, MN: $2,000 to purchase life vests and paddles for the rum river rentals project.
Pine Center for the Arts, Pine City, MN: $3,000 to help repair and replace the facility roof.

Community Service award total: $13,629

 

EDUCATION AND YOUTH

Ogilvie Elementary School: $1,236 to help pay for classroom seating options. 
Pine City Post Prom: $1,000 to fund post-prom activities, prizes and food.
Rush City Youth Sports Club: $1,500 to help subsidize the cost of youth sports in the Rush City School District.

Education and Youth award total: $ 3,736
