Central Air Conditioning and Air Source Heat Pump rebate

An air conditioning study conducted in 2006 by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) found that 60 percent of all new air conditioners were not installed properly. As a result, manufacturers have requested utilities to adopt rebate guidelines focusing on quality installation practices.

The 2008 air conditioning rebate program focuses on key areas of the installation process to help ensure our customers get the maximum benefit from their new air conditioner.

Rebate Summary:
Customers who purchase and install a qualifying ENERGY STAR® rated air conditioner or air source heat pump from one of our registered contractors may receive a rebate up to $430.

Air Conditioner Tune-Up

A central air conditioner or air source heat pump that isn't running efficiently can be costing you more for home cooling. Residential customers may qualify for a $50 tune-up incentive from ECE.

If your central air conditioner or air source is operational, installed in your home, more than five years old, and hasn't been tuned up in at least two years, ECE will help you with the cost of the tune-up by providing a $50 incentive. The incentive form must be signed by both the homeowner and contractor. Offer expires September 1, 2008.
