The CapX 2020 projects continue to move forward. Over the past several weeks, all three 345-kV projects conducted working groups to collect information from local residents and government staff regarding some of the specific issues and criteria in each project area.
Over the coming weeks, the Fargo-Monticello project and Brookings-SE Twin Cities projects will hold open houses that will present and collect feedback on narrowed corridors from the original notice corridors. A link to the calendar for specific meetings is here:
http://www.capx2020.com/Calendar/index.htmlThe Twin Cities-Rochester-LaCrosse project is on a bit of a different timeline because of federal processes that project must secure. When those open houses are scheduled, we will send a notice out about them.
Highlights of the expected schedule in the coming months includes:
- June: Additional work groups
- June: Public hearings throughout state
- July: Additional open houses
- Fall: Route Permit Applications filed
- Winter 2008/2009: Decision made by PUC
There are also additional hearings and procedural matters that will take place before the Public Utilities Commission throughout the year, and we will keep members posted of developments when they occur.
If you have any questions or would like more detail about the upcoming activities, please feel free to contact myself, Terry Grove or anyone on the CapX 2020 project team.
